Privacy notice
This notice explains the only personal information the site handles: what you choose to type into the contact form.
Last updated 3 October 2026.
Who is responsible for your information
Aiglon is the data controller for information submitted through this website. You can contact me about anything in this notice at connect@aiglon.ie.
What the contact form collects
The contact form asks for four things. Three are required, one is optional:
- Name (required) — so I know who I am replying to.
- Work email (required) — so I can reply.
- Company (optional) — context for the enquiry.
- What you are trying to solve (required) — whatever you choose to tell me.
Nothing else is requested. Your submission is stored in the website’s database and sent to my inbox. The form does not record your IP address.
Why I hold it, and on what basis
I use what you send only to respond to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to discuss working together. I do not add you to a mailing list, and I do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing.
Under the GDPR the basis for this is Article 6(1)(b) — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract — and, where an enquiry does not lead anywhere, Article 6(1)(f), my legitimate interest in answering people who contact me.
Where it goes
The form is handled by the Fluent Forms plugin on this WordPress site, which stores the submission on the site and emails it to my inbox at connect@aiglon.ie. Two providers process your message on my behalf:
- Hostinger, which hosts the website. The server is currently located in Singapore and is being moved to the EU.
- Google Workspace, which provides my email.
Where your information is processed outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on the safeguards these providers offer, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 12 months. Records relating to clients are kept for six years to meet Revenue requirements, then deleted.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and loads no advertising pixels or session recording. WordPress may set strictly necessary cookies only if you leave a comment or log in.
Fonts
The site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Your rights
If you have sent me an enquiry, you can ask me to:
- tell you what I hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- restrict or object to how I use it;
- provide it in a portable format.
Email connect@aiglon.ie and I will deal with it within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie, or to the supervisory authority in your own country if you are elsewhere in the EU. I would rather you told me first, but it is your right either way.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
